2024 Election Content Creator Fellowship Program

Timeframe: Now to November 6, 2024

Time Commitment:  10 hours per week.

Stipend:  $1,500 / Fully Remote

Number of positions open: Up to 10

MurMur is looking for Gen Z content creators interested in creating election related content supporting Democrats and Kamala Harris for President.

MurMur was founded on the belief that peer to peer conversations are the best way to reach young swing voters. We provide messaging strategy and technical support to Gen Z led organizations and individuals to help them add their voice in the election and beyond.

The videos created by our fellowship participants will be shared on MurMur’s social channels, as well as with a larger network of Gen Z led organizations. This is a great opportunity for content creators that want to have an impact in this election, generate effective content based on MurMur’s messaging research and continue to develop critical communication skills. 

 Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Conduct at least 10 on-the-street/campus interviews with young voters about the 2024 election.

  2. Create and post at least 10 short-form video highlighting young people’s voices.

  3. Share MurMur’s content (including those of other creators participating in effort)  and participate in social media storms

  4. Provide feedback and input into the overall messaging of the effort.

  5. Attend a 1 hour orientation session and bi-weekly 30-minute team meetings (Mondays @ 12pm CST).

Qualifications: 

Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in US politics.

Demonstrated experience consuming and posting content on various social media platforms, particularly TikTok and YTube Shorts.

Experience in creating video content for social media, either for personal or professional purposes.

Have 10 hours per week to dedicate to this project.

Candidates who are selected for an interview will be asked to record a personal statement of why they support Harris for President on MurMur’s Add Your Voice platform.
